Wave Systems (NASDAQ:WAVX), the Trusted Computing Company, announced it has secured a Gold Server Platform competency in the Microsoft Partner Network, demonstrating its ability to meet Microsoft customers’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment.

To earn a gold competency, the organization must complete a rigorous set of tests to prove their level of technology expertise, have the right number of Microsoft Certified Professionals, submit customer references and demonstrate their commitment to customer satisfaction by participating in an annual survey.

Wave’s line of software strengthens network security while eliminating the need for user passwords. The Wave solution offers seamless security, minimizes the risk of credential theft and network hacks without the need for costly second factor authentication, and makes use of Microsoft native security features, including DirectAccess, Virtual Smartcard and BitLocker.

Wave offers both products and professional services, including Wave’s EMBASSY® security software for managing hardware-based data protection and authentication. Wave’s products leverage Microsoft’s offering and augment it with additional endpoint-related functionality. Wave's authentication offering leverages the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) security chip – included in many devices running Windows 8 – to connect those devices to Microsoft Active Directory, the management infrastructure for enterprise laptops and PCs, and to DirectAccess to replace conventional VPNs. Wave is recognized as capable of doing the end-to-end deployment for those offerings.
